We collect only what is necessary to operate the Platform:
- Account data: Email address, display name, and username when you register.
- Profile data: Optional avatar and full name if you choose to provide them.
- Prediction data: Your score predictions, scorer picks, and points history.
- Usage data: Pages visited, actions taken within the Platform (stored by Supabase and Vercel as part of normal service operation).
- Communications: Messages you send via our contact form.
- Cookie preference: Whether you accepted or declined cookies (stored locally in your browser).
3. How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Run the prediction game, calculate scores, and display leaderboards.
- Send you notifications about new rounds, results, and league activity.
- Respond to your messages sent via the contact form.
- Improve the Platform and fix technical issues.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
Under UK GDPR, we process your data on the following legal bases:
- Contract: Processing necessary to provide the service you signed up for (account, predictions, leaderboards).
- Legitimate interests: Improving the Platform, preventing abuse, and ensuring security.
- Consent: Sending optional marketing or promotional emails (you can withdraw at any time).

We use essential cookies only:
- Authentication cookies — to keep you signed in (Supabase Auth).
- Preference cookies — to remember your cookie consent choice.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics at this time. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage and cookies.
6. Third-party services
We use the following trusted third-party providers to operate the Platform:
- Supabase (database & authentication) — data stored on servers in the EU. Privacy policy →

- Resend (transactional email) — used to send notifications and contact form replies. Privacy policy →
- API-Football (api-sports.io) — provides fixture and player data. We do not share your personal data with them.
7. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.
Prediction and points data may be retained in anonymised form for historical records.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR (and LGPD for Brazilian users), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time for consent-based processing.

9. International transfers
Your data may be processed outside the UK or EEA by our third-party providers (Supabase, Vercel, Resend). Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.

The Platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Platform or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
